Made Floral’s very first day in business took place nine years ago with a Flower Workshop at Willy’s Detroit on August 28 in 2014. We celebrated our nine years in business with a very similar style workshop at our studio in Norwalk, Connecticut last week - it was so fun! We sipped rose and made gorgeous seasonal bouquets! All of the flowers used were selected from local farms in Connecticut. The dahlias were to die for! Everyone loved these the most, especially of the colors. Someone described the colors as resembling a sunset, and I agree.
A lot has changed since that first day in business! So many lessons learned, friends made, weddings and events booked, and I am so grateful for it all! Thank you for being part of this journey with me and cheers to the next nine years in business!

What to Expect at our upcoming flower workshops:
Local Flowers
Local flowers as much as possible! We love ordering flowers from local flower farmers in Connecticut. As long as the flowers are available to us, it’s the first place we look when placing our flower orders.
I share my thirteen years of floral design experience with tips and tricks on processing and design. It becomes a sharing experience where participants are asking questions, assembling and reassembling. Playing with flowers is more important than creating the perfect piece.
I overheard one of the participants say at the end of this workshop, that she had so much fun, but the best part was meeting new people and coming together with a group of people to learn a new skill. It’s uplifting and fun and hearing this made me smile, and remember why I love hosting workshops.

My First Workshop
This was my first Flower Workshop as a business. I remember typing out the part “my new company” and saying to myself, ah - that feels weird to say.
Thank you, Detroit, for being so good to me and welcoming me as a new business owner. I miss it often and can’t wait until my next work trip back!
Nine years ago!
Hehe, another post. Cute! And also, nine years. Wow. Time really flies.
